Welcome from the Executive Director

I wish to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the stakeholders who have guided us and given us a helping hand in achieving our goals. Among our major projects is Divine Mercy School and as you will see from the progress report below we are making great strides in this area due largely to the financial and moral support of friends from Europe, USA and New Zealand.

I also wish to thank my board for their innovation and for working tirelessly to reach our intended objectives and to recognise our local partners; Red Cross Uganda and The Real Uganda for facilitating our programs especially at the grass roots level.

My appreciation also goes to the academic committee of Divine Mercy headed by Mr Matende Geoffrey and Mr Alicwam Joseph for the tremendous job they do.

Let us together as one celebrate our past achievements and look forward to consolidating an even more positive future.

HIV Workshop at Kwagalakwe Primary School. October 2007

We have been carrying out our HIV/AID Awareness workshops in primary and secondary schools all over Mukono. Each session the children and teachers are asking us very interesting questions about HIV/AIDS in the community. This is helping us develop our outreach program. Each session is getting stronger and giving more information to the children.

HIV/AIDS Awareness in Schools. September 2007

The Youth league is committed to control the wide spread of HIV/AIDS amongst school children. Here a team were carrying out a counseling session at Mukono High School. This involved drama and games. Students are always attentive and ask many questions during such topics.

The team discuss the possible routes of HIV infection.

The young people were attentive and inquiring.
